The SBC-i.MX51 includes a UART-to-USB converter (Silabs CP2102) which connects UART 1 of the i.MX51 to the USB-B jack. The SBC demo images use UART 1 as the main console.

Instructions

So, you want to use the serial terminal.

  • Connect power supply to SBC.
  • Use a USB-A-to-B cable and connect the SBC to your PC.
  • Check our description of Serial console.

WARNING! Do not connect the USB cable if the SBC is not powered!
